Green Trip – Lima Tours Anniversary

Lima Tours celebrated its 55th Anniversary with an exciting green trip to the Chanchamayo Valley, a beautiful jungle area located some 300 kms. east of Lima.  The trip was featured on two departure dates to ensure utmost participation.

More than 90 staff members enjoyed amazing activities, including  a visit to Perene Valley trekking to Bayoz waterfalls, visit to a native  Ashaninka community, visit to a local coffee and fruit plantation,   visit to Huagapo the deepest cave in South America, and a farewell Anniversary party “The dance of the Anaconda”.

To minimize the carbon footprint and offset the impact the trip has generated for the environment, each employee planted a tree in the 48 hectares reforestation area located at Fundo San Jose.

Testimonials

Hi Eitan,

Just arrived from our trip to Peru.  I want to thank you for making our trip hassle-free and very memorable. Aside from Machu Picchu which was the highlight of our trip, we enjoyed Cusco, Sacred Valley, Lima and all the other sights.

The hotel selection was great as well.  The Inkaterra was definitely a very fine hotel.  The food and service was excellent.

Although we only spent a week in Peru, it definitely felt like we were there for twice as long.  We've seen and enjoyed a lot of places in so little time.

We look forward to planning another trip back in the next few years and we will surely contact you when the time comes (of course, I'll recommend friends and family to you as well).

Sincerely,

Maria MacBride – U.S.A.

Hi Miluska,

How are you – I’m sending you this email to thank you and all the Lima Tours team for a very great job well done!

I was so happy to meet you and your manager at the hotel in Lima and want to really thank you and appreciate your gift gesture – that was really nice of you.

All the hotels in Lima, Cusco and Puno were a 5 star hotels, wonderful locations and the upgrade for my room was an extra bonus and was not expecting it.  It made the trip that much sweeter.   My favorite is Sol & Luna of course with them giving me the Casita accommodation was wonderful – I booked a massage there and they were happy that I had the rest of the group book their spa treatments too for that night.  The food in Peru was amazing, my favorite is our first restaurant in Lima and “Map Café” was my 2nd favorite – I did not know that the Peruvian food is that good – yummy! ...  The tours were great – we covered a lot, it was a full schedule that gave us a lot of information about Peru and the beautiful people.

The tour guides Fernando, Harvey and Jose were absolutely wonderful, each had their own personality and their own charm, the group enjoyed them and dealing with them was very easy.  You can tell that they want to make sure we are taken care of and having a great time.  Also a special thank you for the assistant in Lima on our way back from Juliaca, that was very professional of your company.

All and all everything was great, excellent job for all of you.  I will definitely book Peru with your company again and feel that my clients will be taken care of.

Please give our regards to all the tour guides and tell them that we miss them already!

Thanks again!

Elena,

Hi I wanted to drop you a line and say a big thank you for the trip you organised for me. You interpreted my requirements absolutely brilliantly and as for Lima tours in  Peru.  they were brilliant. Always on time and very efficient.

I would recommend this to anyone wishing to do the Inca trail. As for the guys you used for the the trek, a special thanks needs to go to Juan the guide, who was very good, and extremely patient!!! and the cook Uralio.

I will be looking at a trip in a couple of years, sadly not in South America.
Cheers and thank you once again.

Dear Mrs. Cuadros,

Hello, my name is Elana and I was on the San Diego East County Educators Tour to Peru with Richard and Melina July 11-19, 2011.  I wanted to write to you to tell you about what a great time we had and how well we were treated by your employees.  From the first day at the airport, Richard and Melina took care of everything.  They were always professional and courteous.  They helped our 106 guests with any problems, big or small.  As a frequent traveler, I appreciated how hard Richard and Melina worked to make this a good trip.

During the trip, I also had the pleasure of having Alicia, Ronald, and Francisco as guides.  Their knowledge regarding Peru, the history of the county, Inca history, and facts about the places we visited was impressive.  All of the guests learned so much from them.

I have been on many trips with our chamber of commerce and hope to attend many more.  I can only hope that other companies in other countries have employees like Richard and Melina that do such a good job.  You should really be proud of how they represent Lima Tours.

Cordially,

Elana Levens-Craig – U.S.A.

San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce, Business and Education Committee Vice-Chair

Dani,

At the very beginning I felt dissapointed because my Saturday flight was cancelled due to the volcanic ash.  But fortunately one of your colleagues managed to get an appropriate flight, and I was able to travel.  Imagine how happy I was!!   Services, hotels, transfers, everthing got a 10!  When I reached Machu Picchu, believe me, I got astonished with its beauty.

Afterwards, your local guide delivered to me a complimentary Centennial Certificate, certifying that I had visit Machu Picchu  during the Centennial Celebration.  I put it in my bedroom.   Really impressed with the attention to detail.

I feel so happy that I would love to take another trip shortly.

Best regards,

Macarena Soledad López - Argentina

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this email to express my complete appreciation and pleasure for my experience with Alejandro when my students and I toured Peru in June of 2011.  Alex went above and beyond in everything he did for us.  Everything was executed perfectly and he was a truly pleasant person to work with.  My students loved him and speak fondly of him as we remember our trip.  Alex has an amazing knowledge of your country and shares it very well.  His English skills are better than any tour guide I have worked with and it was a very help skills since many of my students do no speak Spanish.

As the leader of the group, I really appreciated the extra efforts he made to find hotels and experiences that were safe and interesting for our students.  Alex was simply amazing and our trip to Peru wouldn't have been nearly as wonderful without his help.

Thank You,

Ann Baumann, Mount Westonka High School - U.S.A.
